Joe Lieberman joins China's ZTE to ease national security concerns mid lawmakers' distrust
CNBC ^ | 12/14/18 | Kevin Breuninger

ZTE reportedly hires former Sen. Joe Lieberman to spearhead a national security assessment of its products. "There are obviously still concerns about the safety of their products or the extent to which their products could be used to compromise American security in any way or even individual security," Lieberman tells Politico in an interview. ZTE has "decided to really try to get ahead of those concerns and be in a position to answer them," he says. Lieberman adds that while he will register as a lobbyist, he will be focusing on his national security evaluation and won't actually lobby for ZTE on Capitol Hill.

Joe Lieberman joins China’s ZTE to ease national security concerns.

Just another highly paid lobbyist.

Go for the gold, Joe.

Uni-party figurehead to the rescue!

Paul Ryan is jealous...

It is what unprincipled congresscritters do. Paul Ryan is one of them. Why would any one think he would do differently?

A national security assessment? What a hoot! He who pays the piper calls the tune.

Certainly!

Just give him a little time - maybe a year. Then he’ll either be a “consultant” for a foreign government or for a company that needs legislative favors.

Pay for play government corruption!

Yep... That was my question too when I read the title. When did lieberman become a firmware diagnosis expert? If my memory serves me right, he barely understands how the internet works.

Excellent point

The questions I have are:
1) Is Joe Lieberman exceptionally greedy?
2) Is Joe Lieberman completely devoid of any skills to earn a living wage in the United States?

If former Senators and Congressmen are unable to earn a living wage in the US after Congressional service, and in order to survive in the Trump economy must betray their country, then maybe it is time to provide job skill training to retiring Congressmen so they can re-enter society and become productive citizens, similar to what is provided in pre-release programs.

What is so puzzling is that Joe Lieberman had the skill set to have surreptitiously worked for the destruction of his country for many years, either as a Democrat Senator, or as a liberal independent Senator, without blatantly becoming a advocate for the Chinese Communists.

Why, Joe, why?

I think it is just like the article states. His connections for lobbying cronies. Once a politician forever a politician.

“If former Senators and Congressmen are unable to earn a living wage in the US after Congressional service, and in order to survive in the Trump economy must betray their country, then maybe it is time to provide job skill training to retiring Congressmen so they can re-enter society and become productive citizens, similar to what is provided in pre-release programs.”

Presidents too! This is the funnest thing I have heard in a long time. I think about now the Clintons wish they had been able to take advantage of a program like this! Better than having them out there running their mouths for a living!

Had to laugh at this - Joe is out of his league here. Product security assessment, source code analysis, etc - he wouldn’t know malicious code if it was in front of him.

The Clinton's would have been prime beneficiaries of a Presidential pre-release program. Fortunately, Trump has the means to survive post government service. :)

In a month of outrageous news stories, the story about Traitor Joe takes the cake!
