If there is a 21st Century rebirth of the OAS, they will not be up against the formidable Charles De Gaulle, but the beta male Emanuel Macron. The military under Napoleon took out the radical revolutionaries in 1796. Latin Europe has a long history of strong men arising after corrupt and unpopular governments: Napoleon I and III, Mussolini, Salazar, Franco. That is not unknown in Northern Europe, e.g., Cromwell and Hitler.
