Good post, and good for you to do something more than simply curse the darkness.
I too was a Cub Scout and Boy Scout back in the day. So sad to see that their “inclusiveness” has now destroyed them. They agreed to accept a little cancer that was intentionally and deceptively camouflaged as a moral good. That cancer is now taking its known path and destroying the host.
Thanks.
In some ways it was very difficult, in others it was the easiest decision we ever made.
And God has blessed. Our troop is four times the size it was when we left.
I feel most badly for my son’s. One earned Eagle two weeks before we left. He’s very disappointed with BSA and the legacy they squandered.
The other was almost at Eagle when we left. We offered to find him another troop to join to allow him to finish. He chose not to do that.
Instead, he helped build the new Trail Life Troop and ultimately earned Trail Life’s pinnacle Award, the Freedom Award. He’s the only one in our state to have earned it so far. It’s more challenging than Eagle to earn.
