An emotional Michael Cohen, President Donald Trump's former lawyer and fixer, was sentenced Wednesday to 3 years after pleading guilty to nine federal charges stemming from his failure to report millions of dollars in income making secret payments to women who claimed they had affairs with Trump.
One of the charges Cohen pleaded guilty to included a separate charge, stemming from Robert Mueller's probe into Tump's potential collusion with Russia, that he lied to Congress about his dealings with a proposed Trump Tower in Moscow.

He SHOULD have received at least a 10 year sentence.
But the SP recommended leniency if he would plead guilty to a non crime.
He did Trump’s dirty deeds dirt cheap. I thought he would only get 30 days in the hole.
Just remember that Media and all the the liberals that control it are creating the headlines. It does not matter if the headlines or the stories are factual or not. It does not matter if a non-crime is labeled a crime. All that matters to them is that they destroy president Trump.

Oh and PS, no judge or jury convicted Cohen of Campaign Finance Violations because they could not and would not have. The entire thing was a #FakeCrime made up by political hacks in NY out to get Trump.
The incoming AG for NY has just declared that they will launch an endless witchhunt targeting President Trump and anyone in his family or anyone he knows. How is this even legal?

im convinced that this idiot , knowing he was toast because of his tax crimes, agreed with the SDNY to try and get even with Trump....and say that Trump “directed” him to make the payments..to say that in open court, that being the only way that it becomes a campaign violation. Cohen was never more than a flunkie...was never a part of the campaign..never got a job after Trump won. Was NEVER Trumps personal attorney. Turned out to be just what he always was...a RAT.

I don’t get how he can plead guilty to something that is not a crime. It’s like pleading guilty to ripping a tag off a mattress. This is really really bad stuff because if they can get away with this crap, it means we’re a hairs breath away from a totalitarian state where they can charge anybody with anything.

h yeah. I worked in uniform for NY State. When I first started, a co-worker told me that if the State wants to get you, they'll do whatever is necessary to do it. They'll even go after other people, in order to get to you. As the years went by, I saw it happen first-hand. It was true 38 years ago, and it's still true today. And Mueller's investigation is a perfect example of it.
It's always been a totalitarian state. Always.
How we ever dared claim moral superiority to the Soviet Union boggles my mind. The only difference is we championed an economic system that worked, and they did not. Other than that, we're pretty morally equivalent.
