Just another reminder that competent people do not run for office - they go into private industry. The clear impression was that the collective IQ of all of the political hacks questioning Pichai didn't add up to his - he just sat there and tried not to roll his eyes as they embarrassed themselves.

Actually, Jim Jordan did do a decent job in questioning the Google CEO. But overall, it was an embarrassing performance by both Republicans and Democrats. One Democrat kept asking him if his phone was tracking him at that moment, and acted frustrated when the Google CEO said he'd have to look at his phone to determine that - the Congressman was too clueless to realize that he has the option to enable or disable tracking himself and wasted valuable time asking the CEO of one of the biggest companies on earth to provide him with tech support.

Google has more information on elected officials than Hillary Clinton did with FBI files. Nothing is happening with them.

<>"Spot on! The Uniparty/deep state rolls on. They don't intend to allow those unwashed, uppity voters to stop them. It is Trump and us..."<>

It is the Monarchy v. the Mob and the Mob has chosen Trump as their champion.

They are not after Trump in the end, in the end they are really after you. They’ll never forgive you for electing him. It was all prepared, she wasn’t supposed to lose.

"They are deliberately throwing the game..."

I believe you are exactly correct. A large portion of the GOP is nothing more than a smoke screen for the Uni-Party. They have just as much to fear from an actual functioning news source as the Democrats. (#Never Trumpers) Don't count on any meaningful help from that direction. Trump needs to take this head on in the next two years.

"An old friend with years of experience as a House GOP staffer habitually refers to the House GOP members as “the rabbits” for their lack of courage."

Then they need a dose of Watership Down.

Not a 100% bad day for Republicans, at least those supporting the President.

The pompous Gerry Nadler scored an amazing self goal by asking the Google CEO how much the Russians spent advertising on their platform in 2016?

The answer, which Nadler stupidly asked him to repeat was...$4,700.

Trump and an aroused electorate may yet whip the House GOP into shape.

Its because most congresscritters are lawyer and techno-ignoramuses. So that plays right into Google’s and is this case the Left’s! hands. Since Google is carrying the Left’s censorship & propaganda water they’ll blindly defend Google.
