Almost every civilized country requires Visa applicants to show they have enough money to live on.
They do, and they have no hesitation whatsoever in shipping people back to their countries of origin, either. On the next available flight, and the offenders get to sit in custody in the meantime.
They also look for people coming in to work illegally, without a work visa. That will get you sent home and banned for a period of time, as well.
