Whenever we have a "Government Shutdown", the main beneficiaries are "Non-Essential" government employees who receive retroactive pay (courtesy of Congress) after being off from work for whatever number of days the "Shutdown" lasts! Of course the media will parade an endless number of sob stories before the ignorant public at large..., never mentioning the fact that affected employees have always gotten paid retroactively!

Here own the way to deal with that. Trump should announce that if you don’t come in to work then you don’t get paid. If you do come in to work then you will get paid but not til Congress authorizes the spending. Then simply veto any bill that make retroactive payment to workers who did not show up for work.
