This is very disappointing.
Who ever claims they didn’t know this would happen is foolish.
Well isn’t that special.
“The case concerned whether states can block Medicaid funds from Planned Parenthood affiliates that provide such women with annual health screens, contraceptive coverage and cancer screening.”
That doesn’t even make sense. And what it’s trying to say is probably fake.
Kavanaugh fighting against God?
The case concerned whether states can block Medicaid funds from Planned Parenthood.
So states can no longer say how to run them getting more like a banana republic every day.
Remember Obamacare the forced government insurance program,
They need a sign on the building We BE The Power
“preventitive care for low income women”
Translation: Black baby Holocaust
The only way to get past the evil on the Supreme Court is to have a Constitutional Amendment.
NOT abortion-related. Remember even candidate Trump said PP “does some good” (screeening, etc) and only wanted to defund abortions.
As a parent raising teen age children, I learned to pick battles carefully.
Heaping coals upon their own heads.
This wasnt a decision of any kind. This was merely a vote on certiorari. Idiot reporters get this wrong all the time.
Read Maryland v. Baltimore Radio Show, Inc., 338 U.S. 912 (1950), where the court outlines that a denial is not a decision on the merits and Such a denial indicates nothing about the merits or demerits of a case.
States are free to do whatever they want..
as long as they do what the Federal Government tells
them to do?
"From the accepted doctrine that the United States is a government of delegated powers, it follows that those not expressly granted, or reasonably to be implied from such as are conferred, are reserved to the states, or to the people. To forestall any suggestion to the contrary, the Tenth Amendment was adopted. The same proposition, otherwise stated, is that powers not granted are prohibited [emphasis added]. United States v. Butler, 1936.
Ironic, isn’t it? The Dems were afraid of Kavanaugh because they thought that he would single-handedly come in and dismantle Roe v Wade.
The Libertarians were afraid of him because he believed that federal power over the states reigned supreme.
Here’s the score so far...
Republicans - 0
Democrats - 0
Libertarians - 1
What does Obama still hold over Roberts and is Kavanaugh now “intimidated” and seeking to placate the Libs, as if to say “see, I am not the ogre you claimed me to be”.
My own view is that the justices do not have a constitutional obligation to play politics and avoid controversial issues just because they are controversial issues. Their only views should be as to the laws and the Constitution, not what is currentlly on anyone’s minds politically.
How very queer, Planned Parenthood always funds money to give to Denocrat political campaigns...
Lost in all the confirmation hype was the fact Kavanaugh agreed with Garland on 93% of the cases they both ruled together on the DC Circuit.
All Kavanaugh went through to become Justice... it was all about abortion then, and one of the first cases was about abortion.
Assume he sided against.... the media would have gone back to “impeachment”... and lit into Trump also. Was this case the one to step out on right out of the chute? Was the timing not right for that yet?
I want to give him the benefit... was there a good reason to side the way he did because of the way the case was brouoght and the way it was presented? Otherwise, he missed a good chance to prove he is who Trump thought he was.
Well it looks like we have sheep in wolves clothing once again! When will they ever get the selection for the supreme court right? “ they would rather avoid contentious, high-profile disputes for now, at least where possible.” Disgusting!!
