Pretty flaky isn’t it? I mean, if he has a commitment to do something else three months from now why wouldn’t he have given Pence notice already and everybody concerned have known he is not a candidate?

He isn’t a Trump devotee. He isn’t even a Trump ideals devotee. He is a Nick Ayers devotee. Working for Trump does not fit his strategy. He sees no long term benefit for hitching up to that wagon. Trump will be out of the fracas in 2 to 6 years and he doesn’t do people favors. Everything with him is a business proposition.

It’s becoming obvious all these GOPe careerist types view POTUS as a short timer and have little interest in investing in the MAGA agenda. Frankly, if Ayers is giving 3 months notice after he was offered a plum assignment I would help him pack his bags now. He’s pretty much flipping the bird at the President.
