Take that filter outside and carefully whack it against something to get that dust off. You will still need to replace it, but letting the furnace get some oxygen might keep it from shutting off again in the meantime.

I told the guy to do that.

He told me it could go without a filter for a while, better than risking it dying again.

But you’re right, if all fails the filter could have used a bang against a wall.

Who knew a dirty filter would shut down a furnace?

Cost me $220 to find out but I know to check the filter and to use the breaker box to re-set.

What an awful Sunday morning. I was so scared.
