There was a guy, who also complained all the time.

About three years ago, I took notice of the guy. He seemed to really get what bothered me, about so much. About the GOP, which really was not supporting me anymore. They seemed to be sold out to foreigners.

About our border. It seemed we were just letting in everyone.

This guy got it. He really did. I realized he sounded like he was interested in running our country. I was so very relieved. FINALLY. A guy who really got it.

I supported the guy, from the very beginning. Strongly. I did not just support him, I also went to one of his campaign offices and bought a bunch of things. Bumper stickers. Pins. Shirts.

I never do that. Ever.

I was quite enthused by the guy. Very much so. When he got the nomination of the GOP, I felt like we had taken back our party. It was great.

Then he ran against the liberal candidate. Ran quite well in fact. And he won.

I had already come to Vietnam at the time. I in fact scheduled things so I could come back to vote for the guy. Then I came back here. I voted for the guy and actually did not find out he won the election, until I got back to Asia. Turned out I was one of 10,000 or 20,000 voters in Michigan who won the state for him.

I was quite enthused. There were two issues I thought were extremely important. Our border, and our trade situation with China.

Those two issues, are in fact why I voted for Trump, and were the main motivators for me. The main ones. I believe there are millions of other Americans like me, who also agreed, and also voted for Trump. We voted for Trump for many reasons, but primarily to stop the sell-out of our own country, by a bunch of globalist weenies.

Yes. Globalist weenies. I said it. That is who has been running America for the entire last generation.

Now we seemed to have a leader who would be pro-American for a change. Finally. A guy who got it.

Except now it has been two entire years, and I really have not seen concrete changes, to real results, in either subject.

There is no wall.

And our trade deficit with China has gotten WORSE.

Worse.

I am still glad Hillary wasn’t elected. But what in the world happened to Trump?

Why didn’t he do anything?

What is he waiting for?

I never left the US but I did vote for Trump just like you and was simply ecstatic when he won but I only hoped he might get some help and give us some free air again. That he might slow the onslaught and populate the Supreme Court favorably.

I’m sure Trump does not like excuses any more than you or I do. Excuses are one of the four things I hate most, the other three being liars, cheats and thieves.

Trump is not a dictator, sometimes I wish he were, he has had the entire government complex, the swamp, arrayed against him fighting him tooth and nail. Unfortunately the poor man is an amateur wehn it comes to politics and the evils of the swamp. Even though he is a fast learner the swamp is killing him but he is bearing up like a champion and a man of courage. I am sure some days he does not think he has a friend in the world or a single loyal employee in the White House. They are still hammering away at him and will be worse now.

In all likelihood the Republic that has been is doomed. Trump, like Reagan, only buys us time before that happens. One man can’t reverse decades of rot from within with maggots feeding on the corpse while the flies are still laying eggs. The agenda started at least as long ago as Johnson is mission accomplished. We are at best a 47% to 47% nation. Our generation is soon leaving the scene and the replacement one is not part of our 47%. I am approaching the point of, “Eat, drink and be merry for tomorrow we die” point. I think this point of view is only pragmatic. The can has been kicked too far down the road too many times.

God bless the USA and all that is left of her.
