There was a swimming hole in Long Beach, California known as the Colorado Lagoon when I was a kid in the 1950’s. The place had a nickname appropriate to the times “Polio Hole”. I was swimming with friends one day, and a huge pile of human waste floated past my face. I was out, and throwing up on the beach in a matter of seconds. Never went back.

Every time I see the name Avenatti.....well I’m sure you get the point.

There was place I learned to swim at in the 50’s.It was a swimming hole dug into the middle of a spring fed run and over flow went out the exit path the spring took.

In the 50’s you could drink it.
Went by there the other day, they skate on it in winter but filth feeds it and filth exits it.

Sounds about the same as your ole swimming hole.
