Considering Trump as the chief law enforcement officer in the land oh, yeah maybe he should have been consulted on the high-profile International arrest they I think they want to make. You do realize he is the head of the doj and the doj is not independent?

Bolton knew about the pending arrest before hand. He isn’t some anti-trump wacko.

The indictment of Meng had been “prepared for some time”. When she was on Canadian soil, was the convenient time to arrest her.

“U.S. prosecutors made the extradition request based on a sealed indictment for alleged violations of Iran sanctions that had been prepared for some time, people familiar with the matter said. A federally appointed U.S. overseer, formerly charged with evaluating HSBC Holdings PLC’s anti-money-laundering and sanctions controls, relayed information about suspicious Huawei transactions to federal prosecutors in the Eastern District of New York, some of the people said.”
