Heck, I could agree with that...I guess it is a sign of how bad it is that even that is just as unrealistic as spending cuts.

Who could be against spending the same amount (2018) levels for 20 years? Lol! No-ROFLOL!!! I’ve just retired after 31 years of being in the military, and I can tell you the list of who would be against that is LONG and DISTINGUISHED! Bless your heart (as we say here in Texas). That’s the most naive statement about government spending I think I’ve ever read.

I don’t mean to say it shouldn’t be done or that we must not reduce government spending-for we must. Trump was either lying or extremely naive himself if he thought for a second we would erase the deficit during 8 years of his presidency without radical government cuts. However, to suggest that everyone would be ok with it, as your post does, is insane or just plain out of touch with reality of how the government really operates and what it is.
