And these were written by those who *stayed* and supported the revolution.
What about 1/3 of the colonialists who remained loyalists? How come history seems to be silent on what their objections were? Could it be perhaps predictions of exactly what has come to pass?
Look, I'm going to be perfectly honest here: I can go either way. If the US wants to engage in self immolation, I'm already positioned to be GOPe lording it over the large underclass. Like a minor Trump, I'm trying to warn people of what has happened and where it's going if they don't begin to fight back. But I'm not going to sacrifice myself if citizens won't attempt to save themselves. I can live perfectly well as an elite.
