I had a pound of butter softening on the counter with all good intentions of making Christmas cookies while watching on TV. Never even started. Put the butter back in the fridge. There’s always tomorrow.....
P.S. I’ve gone through a whole bunch of tissues these last few days.

There really needed to be 'a pause' , at least in the pace, that political knife slinging was going on in this nation, which had ratcheted up well beyond mud throwing and become dangerous. It could not be sustained at the level it was at. ......I believe the Bushes and the Trumps recognized this and the opportunity to calm the country in a way nothing else would have worked....I watched for that hand, His hand, to move.....and it did.
How long it will remain lower pitched remains to be seen....but it needed to be done more than a lot of people realize.
Yes Reba and the Oak Ridge Boys were perfect for Pres. Bush's hometown service. They were his friends..and he enjoyed country music. .....
And of course you were not alone with using kleenex these past couple days.....there were so many moments of Patriotism seen everywhere, Spiritual moments when a tender hand on the back to steady another as we saw Trump do for Bush....God moved hearts in this if only for the moments that mattered...but then it is those moments that do matter throughout life...and there were many in this.
Yep...my pleasure putting these photos up...it was a good couple days even in the face of sorrow.
Yes it is....and what a pleasant escape from the sorrow for a brief time while they waited for the next hours to coMe...Melania did very well to arrange this for them.
