Rumors had been circulating throughout the media class Tuesday about the fate of The Weekly Standard in the wake of the magazine’s dwindling readership and circulation, despite a rebranding effort as the preeminent right-leaning periodical for conservatives opposed to President Donald Trump.

“I don’t expect it to exist after December 14, 2018,” one editor at the magazine told TheDCNF. “There is no budget for it AT ALL.”

......... rebranding effort as the preeminent right-leaning periodical for conservatives opposed to President Donald Trump. ............

I guess they found out that there aren’t very many of them. The people who work at The Weekly Standard probably know all of this small crowd.

DESPITE?

Without Trump there would be no GOP. At the time of the rise of Trump all of us had had it with the traitorous self-dealing sell-out lushes - sure Mr. Lobbyist, we can do that. Can you get us another round.

As DC goes they were cheap dates - not even demanding a “thank you ma’am” lest it keep them from turning their next trick to screw over America.

Why go for the "lite" when you can get the real stuff?
