The GA Public Service Commissioner election was held statewide, not just in the Atlanta metro area. “District 3” (represented by Chuck Eaton) indeed comprises the Atlanta metro area, but that just means that the candidates must reside within such district, not that the district’s residents have the exclusive right to elect the commissioner.

The allegations concerning NC-09 sound pretty bad—vote harvesters going to people’s homes and asking them to hand over their absentee ballots so that they can “deposit them” at the proper venue. If such shenanigans affected over 900 votes, I think that there’s a good chance that they will call for a new election (unless Pelosi shanghais the process by having the House declare the RAT the winner).

But the Kafkaesque thing about the NC-09 incident is that what Democrats are accusing a rogue Republican organizer of having done in Bladen and Robeson Counties is *exactly* what EVERY SINGLE DEMOCRAT CAMPAIGN did in EVERY COMPETITIVE DISTRICT IN CALIFORNIA in 2018. A year of so ago, California passed a law making such vote harvesting legal, and the RATs gathered up hundreds of thousands of absentee ballots (which had been sent out, unsolicited, to every household) and turned them in at the last minute. That is why 6 GOP congressional candidates in California were leading on election night but ended up “losing.” I hope that a court rules that vote harvesting violates the right to vote under the U.S. Constitution so that that California license to steal is thrown off the books.

Democrats are always Democrats, though.

Stacey Abrams crept up. Until the buffet opened, that is.
