We Could train Afghan troops til the cows come home and when we leave the Taliban will still take over. The Afghan army has little will to fight their own countrymen.

Pakistan protects and helps the Taliban forces so that they run back and forth across the border at will. Unless we are willing to make incursions and bombing raids into Pakistan to wipe them out the Taliban will flourish.

I used think high ranking generals had brains but I listened to a retired dimwit on Lou Dobbs, Gen. Keane, tell us how it was beneath the army dignity to secure the southern border and then he told us a lie about Posse Comitatus prohibits the army from apprehending aliens at the border and enforcing border laws. HE IS EITHER A LIAR, STUPID OR BOTH. Posse Comitatus does not cover the military when enforcing border security, not at all.
