I do agree that DJT is more (Silver Age) DC than Marvel. Marvel guys are filled with moral ambiguity and angst. Trump doesn’t do angst.

Do DC characters die and stay dead? Or do they always resurrect like the Marvel characters seem to?

I do agree there is little darkness in PDJT.

DC invented the parallel universe for comic book stories (Flash of two worlds), and Superman has “died” at least half a dozen times , and faked his death many times. In the Silver Age, they don’t stay dead. I remember one ridiculous story line where Lightning Lad (of the Legion of Superheroes) was dead, and for some reason, his sister, Lightning Lass masqueraded as him, and was only caught because she didn’t have a Adam’s Apple. eventually LL’s outer space electrified burial spot reanimated him Frankenstein style, and by the time the dust settled Lightning Lass lost her ability to make lightning but gained the power to render any object weightless, so she was rechristened “Light Lass”. That was the DC Silver Age, when comic books were aimed at 10 year old boys, and there was no need to kill the Mrs. Dibnys of the world.
