WASHINGTON President Trump will not be speaking at the funeral for the late President George H.W. Bush, it was reported Monday.
Instead, the Bush family has lined up four people to say eulogies to President George H.W. Bush including his son, George W. Bush.
The other eulogists include former Canadian Prime Minister Brian Mulroney, former Sen. Alan Simpson (R-Wy.) and presidential historian Jon Meacham, who also eulogized first lady Barbara Bush.

Factoid: Sitting presidents have eulogized the last three past presidents who have died.

No big deal. The important part is that he and Melania will be in attendance. At least the Bush family wasn’t as crude as the McCain family, not only not inviting them, but doing so as publicly as possible.

I dont know that this is meant to be a slight. I imagine the last 3 to pass had more of a connection to the sitting President at the time.

Fine. Obama will not be speaking about himself, too.

This could simply be Trump giving the honor to the son, who was a president himself, to do the eulogy. Sometimes we read too much into things.

Bill Clinton gave a eulogy for Richard Nixon after he died in April 1994.

They’re having 4 people speak. It’s a little bit of a slight.

Good assessment 🇺🇸

(The above is not a statement of fact. It is either satire or opinion. Or both.)

With all considered this was a good decision. The press would be all over anything he might say so best not to ‘disturb’ this service and make it into a feeding frenzy..which the press parasites would latch onto.

If McStain had still been alive they would have invited him and not invited Trump.
