Humans, (and in this hemisphere, the Latino ones) will NEVER learn. Most cultures default towards tyranny and statism.
Its why I don’t mind Venezuela. They get what they deserve. Chavez and Maduro are not space aliens or invaders. Fellow Venezuelans for the most part, chose them. And above all, the world needs a constantly running shit-show of destructive socialism as a negative example to help keep the free-world at least partially free.
But the educated, productive members of Venezuelan society are considered the opposition that Maduro keeps throwing in jail or killing.
So I am not sure the Venezuelans as a whole are getting what the deserve.
That is a gross generalization of the reality.
They are coming here every day with socialist ideas. Legally illegally by any means. And we have idiots welcoming them.
