During a press conference hosted by the Sunshine Movement, an advocacy group that leverages youth protests to oppose global warming, the 29-year-old Ocasio-Cortez said her Nov. 6 achievement ranks with the 1969 Moon landing and the 1964 Civil Rights Act.
'We've done what we thought was impossible,' she told a small crowd who braved 40-degree weather.
'We went to the moon. We electrified the nation. We established civil rights. We enfranchised the country. We dig deep, and we did it. We did it when no one else thought that we could. That's what we did when so many of us won an election this year.'

A liberal moonbat winning a district in liberal New York is not "history in the making.
Maybe "histrionic"

I disagree. This is the first time a real mentally challenged person become a member of the House.

Occasional-Cortex* will either be a really big joke or the nation is in bigger trouble than even the pemissists among us believe. I wish I could decide...

She wasn’t even born when any of those truly historical things happened. Who’s this ‘we’? Whoever they are, winning a congressional district in New York is no more comparable to the moon landing than Central American invaders trying to rush the border is comparable to the USS St. Louis trying to find safe haven for refugees from Hitler-occupied Europe. Personally, she has entertainment value, sort of like a village idiot. But as a political leader, she is scary.

CGI is so useful in the entertainment industry to project fantasy situations.
I suspect she too is an illusion.
Even Democrats can't be this vapid!
I just can't believe she is one of liberal Hollywood's creations nor can I believe the GOP is clever enough to invent her so she must be real!.

You should see the idiots at Yahoo already praising her.
I’m not sure she could boil an egg and they think she’s the greatest thing since Obama. A LOT of those idiots are praising her in one form or another.
You truly cannot fix stupid. I know; I tried earlier this year and on a job a few years ago. It’s amazing. In a bad way.
