Would be sunk in less than ten minutes if it engaged with the US Navy.

Another one that can and should be sunk by the Americans.

Like the Chinese, they probably stole the good stuff from a Pentagon contractor.

Hmmm... I looked up the Sahand destroyer and what I read said it was British made... The article implies that it was made in Iran...(?)

Separately, a naval commander said Sahand may be among warships that Iran plans to send on a mission to Venezuela soon. ...To pick up a load of cocaine...

I’d give it a 15 minute life-span against even a USN LCS (and they ain’t necessarily meant to be ship-to-ship combat vessels).
I’d give it 10 minutes against a USN Destroyer of any class.
It would be sunk before it was even in visual range against a USN Cruiser.

And in consultation with the Pentagon it may soon be fully modified to perform at least half the major capabilities of a submarine.

The shape, as depicted, is definitely not in the least bit stealty. If anything, counter stealthy. I don’t know who they think they are fooling. Literally anyone with a small boat radar could see that thing 10 nautical miles away. It would be a joke if it were in the least bit funny.
More likely a cruise ship for naughty senior Iranian officers to bugger young recruits on, definitely unsuited for modern warfare.

Just listen and you’ll hear the Call to Prayer
To: piasa
...To pick up a load of cocaine... It's a cruise ship for senior Iranian officers. I would be willing to bet that that "phased array radar" on the center island never even radiates. It's a Potemkin warship.
To: BenLurkin
I guess one just has to say something is stealthy...I see nothing about this ship that is so!!!

If hostilities break out, the moment this ship set sail, along with anything else, from an Iranian harbor they would be sunk by a submarine that would have been sitting near that harbor.
