I didn’t know you could legally own a handgun in Massachusetts.It's quite easy really. Easier if your local police chief is a stand up guy (or gal).
I had no problem getting my Class 1 LTC and renewal is easy too. I have quite a collection of various platforms.

Thanks for clarifying. Sounds a lot like NJ, where your local police chief has an inordinate amount of discretion but if you jump through all the hoops you can get a handgun.
