As an aside, Rudolph was written by a Jewish guy working for (I think) Macy’s or some other store. It was version of his wish-fulfillment story (adapted to reindeer) of his childhood day dream of fitting in as a Jewish guy in a gentile world



Still my all-time favorite Christmas show.

Rudolf was written initially for Montgomery Wards around 1950... I forget what the first year goodie was, maybe the comic book, but each year there was an additional Rudolf something or the other. Gene Autry then made Rudolf big time famous with “Rudolf, the Red-nosed Reindeer”.
