Its a desert all right, but one that rises 10,000 feet up in some places!

Driving though NM we stopped and went to the top of Sandia Peak, about 10k feet. Quite a view.

Interesting factoid:
NM did not honor my KY CCDW license. But it was legal for me to open carry.
