If you think they just “debated” the idea, you’re nuts. Search on any issue you can think of and see what the first 50 results are in terms of political slant.
There are no consequences for this behavior. Until there are, it will continue, probably accelerate.
In an earlier time Google employees would have been KKK goons - - same mentality - different choice of target.

They are guilty of crimes against humanity... but they are not a monopoly with me; I have never used them because when they got started they agreed to supply China with tracking of all Chinese users' data. For some reason that information is now news. 🙄 People should just stop using Google.
OTOH I often use Yahoo and I often find the same masking of results there... still useful for certain searches. Otherise: DuckDuckGo. Incidentally, although I have never used Google, I notice that they still track me as I surf the net... they even follow me as I sign on to FR.
Boy Google is really going downhill!
