I thought so at first but I’m not sure it is. MBP perpetrators don’t usually seek to actually kill their victims (it would be like killing the goose that lays the golden egg). They also don’t usually admit even to themselves that they are harming the child.

It sounds to me like she was just trying to flat-out kill the kid and not get caught.

Whether death or just prolonged illness is the eventual benefit to the perpetrator, MSbP is still a more probable assessment.

Agree. She wanted to kill the baby. Next, it would have been the do nothing husband.
