Lately, it’s been hard not to notice the resurgence of the grand old patriarchal political strategy of demonizing women.
Republicans have been championing forced birthing and state control of the nation’s uteri for decades, but now the right-wing appears to have officially adopted the modern witch trial as the proper antidote to noisy Democratic women.
The witch trial of Hillary Clinton is the most famous right-wing ‘success story.’ By portraying a hard-working policy wonk, healthcare champion, and former Senator and Secretary of State as an evil witch, the Republican Party was able to bless this great country with a nationwide expansion of Trump University. Who needs a smart, ‘boring’ woman when a philandering male megalomaniac and bankruptcy-filing expert brings so much more to the table, right?

Someone should clue newsweak in that saying provably false and stupid things with absolute conviction isn’t “opinionated”, it’s proof of being stupid.

I went to the Newsweak article out of curiosity regarding the comments. Surprising, even most of those comments basically agreed with many of the comments here.

Islam has never been a religion of peace as its 1396 year history of conquest, slavery, murder and mayhem clearly shows.
Maybe because she spews laughable nonsense about ICE, the three parts of the federal government, the comparison of the caravan invaders to “Jews fleeing Nazis,” the lack of understanding about what must fund single-payer health care... for starters.
I don’t question her IQ.
I question her wisdom.
There’s no question at all. On a good day she’s in the mid 80’s. Smart enough to move her lips when she talks but too stupid to say anything that makes sense.
What IQ?
Because being opinionated is one thing and being really stupid and a historical ignoramus is something entirely different. She falls directly in to the second category.

Is this a trick question? Has the writer ever looked at her extemporaneous interviews? Her photo should pop up on an Internet search for clueless brat....
