Are you honestly suggesting that NASCAR ratings are down because there are a few black guys changing tires? I don’t throw this term around, but if thats the reason you aren’t watching NASCAR, then you ARE a racist.

You certainly jumped to the ugliest possible conclusion with apparent glee there, bigdaddy45. Now why would you want to do that to a fellow FReeper? It's well-known in NASCAR circles that Brian France and NASCAR seriously jumped the shark on the PC, to the point of actually telling their legendarily loyal fanbase that they didn't want or need a bunch of redneck fans. That's a great way to kill the franchise and that's precisely what they did. Lavish minority outreach was just a symptom, it wasn't the disease. But, constantly singing the praises of Danica Patrick was certainly the source of much mockery and merriment. She just wasn't that great of a driver despite vagina.

NASCAR has hardly jumped the PC shark. 99% of the drivers are white guys. Who, in my humble opinion, are all cut from the same boring cloth to the point where I can hardly tell one from the other. If it weren’t for the fact that the Busch brothers are flaming a**holes, there wouldn’t even be anyone to root against.

Danica Patrick was a bust, but thats one driver and she’s gone now. Of course, how many races did Jimmy Spencer win back in the day? Not many that I recall, and he always seemed to have a ride.

I have no problem with minority outreach if you want to expand the base.....but to what effect? The drivers are virtually all white. The owners are all white. And you’re going to argue PC chased off the hardcore redneck fan? Nonsense. In fact, I think the hardcore redneck fan base is all thats left.
