I’m sorry. I didn’t realize I was dealing with someone with reading comprehension problems. I never said NASCAR was racist. Quite the opposite. In addition, you seem to think the word redneck is a slur. I don’t. I have many proud self-proclaimed rednecks in my family, and God bless ‘em.

NASCAR has gone down the toilet because it’s gotten boring. Just read the responses on this thread. Fans root for drivers and cars. The drivers used to have personality. Now they’re just a bunch of bland corporate pretty boys. The car is used to be differentiated. You had the Ford versus Chevy crowd. Now, I can’t tell one car from another.

Fans couldn’t care less what Brian Francis has said. By the way, he also publicly endorsed Donald Trump.

I have no problems with reading comprehension, but you do have a problem with wanting to be combative and negative toward FReepers, consistently. NASCAR has collapsed under Brian France’s watch, he’s a complete PC dolt and has no business in that business whatsoever. I made a fair amount of my living from NASCAR-related collectibles and apparel at one point in my life, no longer. It’s all at his feet. Calling your core fan base rednecks and telling them they’re not wanted is in large part responsible for the collapse whether you’re willing to admit that or not. Minorities just aren’t all that into it, doesn’t appear they ever will be. Women aren’t either. So, there you have it. A bunch of aging white guys, many of whom self-identify as rednecks, that’s the fan base. Appeal to them. Stop running them off.
