The real question should be: Why is the mother dragging her girls around in diapers with no shoes on through the dirt and rocks - all for a photo op coordinated with a Reuters reporter?

The ComPost and their ilk care far more about illegal children than they do about American children.

She is a terrible mother. She dragged her kids through 1000+ miles of hostile countryside, exposing them to known criminals, committed crimes herself in their presence, knowingly put her kids into a dangerous situation...and what, she is going to be held up for pity? In the US we have parents being castigated for merely disciplining their children. This mother should be vilified for what she is doing, not celebrated, not pitied.

I wish my mom would have been more easy going with me. I wasnt allowed out after the street lights came on until I was 9 or 10. let alone being allowed to participate in a border crash / riot at age 2. </s>. .Somewhere this kids mom is fully ok with a preschool daycare fight club. Keep these sh*tty parents out of this country! and shame on you for using your kids as cannon-fodder. Bunch of heathen savages!!

The problem is the rule of law, which kept order, has been trashed for “whatever”.

The media reports that we should do the “whatever” and they use it for political gain. Compassion has no place in this... doing the RIGHT thing does! NO ONE thinks it’s a good thing to let thousands at a time invade our borders with the idea of living here.

Those who would say let them in, would not live with them.. and would not pay for their keep. We cannot afford to let that meny at a time come in.. illegally... for many more would come and our country would never survive that kind of onslaught from outside in.

We cannot have a successful country living with “whatever”. We have laws and those who break them must pay the consequences. That woman put the child in danger, using her as a shield. It was correct to stop them in whatever way they made happen. Rushing the border with a half naked baby is not smart... and we have to have control.. and if they make a situation where rubber bullets and teargas are needed... they force it and we deliver... to save our country.

Did they get the message!

A way to put a stop to this idiocy (obvious agitprop from the media) is to begin charging the organizers and their financiers with human trafficking and possibly RICO violations.

Reminds me of that nice, peaceful German radio station attacked by the Polish Army back in 1939.

Democrats are complicit. They know the purpose of this is to try to make Trump look bad. And if he caves and lets them in, the floodgates will be open for wave after wave.

The woman looks very well fed.

The girls are much too old to be in diapers.

Did they walk all the way from Hondouras barefoot in those diapers?

Apparently she expects to waltz right in, put the kids in school, sign up for welfare and watch telenovellas all day.

Thank you, Uncle Sugar.

No real caring for the welfare of the child? Narcissism?

The problem I see is a definite lack of tear gas.

There we go, that’s the photo they were looking for.

All that effort, all those thousands of people, the coordination, the buses... just for that photograph.

Same as the photograph of children in cages it will be used against the United States by the heartless liberals to open the border.

It wasn’t quite what they wanted.. a dead child bleeding on the ground with his mother and sister crying.... but it will do.

Funny how they are "escaping" a Socialist nation, and yet not running to another Socialist nation.

"Honduras has terrible levels of market regulation, such as price controls on food, fuel and clothing. Electricity and telephone are run by state monopolies and they have ohnerous regulations for starting a business, especially for foreign investors. They are ranked 125, out of 185 countries, for ease to do business in. They also requie government approval for foreign investment into healthcare, telecom, air travel and some other markets. They have a poor credit rating, as well, due to high deficit spending used to cover socialist programs. They had to reduce spending on these ineficient programs to improve their credit rating, which was succesful in 2017. All of this discourages foreign investment, which is a necesity to become prosperous. Who would want to start a business in a place where they are told what they can charge by the state?

In the 80’s, military spending accounted for a quarter of the national budget and they were borrowing large sums of money to fund national work projects, to reduce unemployment. All it did was increase government spending and corruption, which was already bad.

Today 60% of the working population is in agriculture, but honduras has a limited availability of farmland due to its geography. Even if the state were to pay for their education, what would they get educated in and where would they work, since they are so difficult to do business in?

Unfortunately, the answer by too many is for more state control. Socialism failed there because its socialism and they don’t recognize that they already live in a failed socialist state under a different name, misalocating the term “market economy” to what is really a socialist hell hole further ruined by outside loans to fund unprofitable causes, american military intervention, and DEA drug wars."
