This would happen in the infinitely minimal chance (IMC, same chance of AGC) of the Earth's orbiting the sun slowing to a stop. Once at a standstill, it would take just over 2 months for the endtimes. The last day (inside the orbit of Mercury) would be interesting indeed. Spoiler: We wouldn't actually make it to crashing into the Sun, because Earth would elongate and fall apart at the Roche Limit.

Rapidly rising- golly, going from say 70 degrees to 70.5 degrees would push anyone over the edge, huh? How in the world have people survived for 1000’s of years in desert areas without taking their own lives due to heat? You would think that people living in tropical climates would be committing mass suicides all these many 1000’s of years- but nope-

Around three years ago I printed that out and pinned it on the bulletin boards at both of our local stores.
Many people read it with most nodding in agreement. The clerks told me no one could find a way to disagree with it.
A year ago both stores were sold. One to a local chain that took down the entire board. The other by a man who only allows business cards and items for sale.
I then printed it out on business card size and gave some to the clerks to hand out. I have to replenish with 200 more every four months as some customers take four or five to hand out.
Your little lesson is getting around.

Temperatures have not altered anything in my life time either. The seasons where I grew up in California are constant and the waterlines in the cove on Puget Sound where I used to live have not changed in spite of the universal agreement among liberals that the oceans are rising three or four feet a year.
Whenever I see a statement such as that I insert ‘not’ after ‘may’.

1. IF it did exist, it would be an effect, not a cause.
