Good post. Its hard to change a brain that feels and thinks (say) femininely youre a boy. Sometimes with special needs, you do change the environment to make the person feel safe.
I know this well because my son with special needs becomes pretty much a statue in an environment where he isnt comfortable and a happy, contributing, helpful, funny person in an environment made for his kind. Maybe this is all they need, a special school for gender differences, where they dont feel alone because everyone has it. Maybe that alone, no chopping off body parts, would be a wonderful way to grow up. Will we ever know? Dare we ever try something that disagrees with the Official Treatment everyone has signed off on? You know, the ONLY TREATMENT, the one that leaves half the patients still suicidal?
“...the one that leaves half the patients still suicidal?”
Heh - I read that as “parents”. That too I suppose.
Regarding your next post about pesticides, plastics, etc. The kids with mental and social issues are more susceptible to trans. Girls especially so, which may be related to a previous poster’s comments on how girls are supposed to be beautiful, etc. Especially in this day and age of normal girls showing sexy photos on instagram. (It used to be just a few movie stars, which obviously us normal folks can’t compete with.)
Lots of internet time and alone time are also prime culprits in the recent rash of girls going trans. And of course society (docs, teachers, and many parents) are all for it.
