A Polish woman who was believed to be the worlds oldest nun has died at the age of 110.
Born on March 25, 1908, Cecylia Roszak spent almost 90 years of her life in a convent, Polands PAP news agency reported.
She died in the southern Polish city of Kraków last week, according to the local archdiocese.
Roszak helped rescue Jews during World War II and was awarded the Yad Vashem's Righteous Among the Nations medal, according to the PAP news agency.
The Righteous Among the Nations title, the highest Israeli civilian distinction, has been awarded since 1963 by the Yad Vashem Institute in Jerusalem to those who helped Jews during World War II.
Some 3.3 million Jews lived in Poland at the outbreak of World War II. Poles constitute the largest national group among the Righteous Among the Nations.

Rest In Peace, Sister. You earned your place at the eternal banquet table, surviving both Nazis and Communists and saving Jews too. An undeclared saint, for now.
May God welcome Sister Cecylia with open arms into eternal Paradise.
I’m of the opinion that the downfall of the Catholic Church coincided with the shortage, or even nonexistent, supply of Nuns.
The Nun performs an extremely important role in the integrity of the Church. Too few acknowledge that fact, but it is a fact.
If the Catholic Church is to return to Her former stature, it must repopulate each and every Diocese with an ample supply of female Nuns.
At any rate, I’m sure Sister Cecylia was greeted with the seven words all us believers long to hear, namely, “Well done, thou good and faithful servant.”.
Given her story it’s not hard to imagine that she’s with God at this very moment.
RIP.
Thanks CondoleezzaProtege.
RIP
