Banning ads will certainly prevent obesity. Just like the anti-drug ads prevent addiction.
It is stunning how much money children under the age of 12 personally spend on fast food.
Tongue and cheek aside, one thing that annoys the living &$%# out of me with millenial parents, is that they bring separate food for kids to all events. It is always some form of chicken nuggets or some processed cheese and cracker, or macoroni and cheese, or some such with little to no nutritional value because their precious will literally not eat anything else. And it is true, it is an arm wrestling competion to have them even taste the tiniest bit of anything, immediately Afterwards they announce they dont like it and immediately start munching on goldfish crackers. Past 2 years old my mother did not carry special food for me, and did not drag around an entire giant bag dedicated solely to keeping me fed and entertained. 20 years later these same kids who would scream at the thought of putting anything made of organic matter in their mouths, will gladly pay 25 bucks for an ounce of kale (previously known as low grade cow food) with a grape and a single julienne slice of carrot. /oldmanrant
Good point. There is not a single ad for fentanyl or meth, but addiction to illegal substances is growing.
I saw a billboard today in Chatsworth, CA that said they would ship marijuana to your home.
