Newly-elected representative Ocasio-Cortez of New York said "people will die" if action isn't taken now. Ocasio-Cortez fired off this Tweet in response to the 1,656-page report.
"People are going to die if we don’t start addressing climate change ASAP. It’s not enough to think it’s “important.” We must make it urgent. That’s why we need a Select Committee on a Green New Deal, & why fossil fuel-funded officials shouldn’t be writing climate change policy."
Her message on the worldwide web comes not long after she sent a message of wanting healthcare and college for Americans, and "our climate to be saved from cataclysmic disaster."

People will die no matter what action is or is not taken now or any time in the future. Everyone dies. She will too, eventually, although she doesn't understand this fact of life yet. That people are living longer and longer means that overall, we are doing the right things. (Mostly).
