Not a single prosecution of Hillary or Obama’s illegal activities, yet, every single Trump staff member gets prosecuted.

Special Counsel Mission Creep!

Whitaker is now Mueller’s boss.

Now Mueller decides to investigate his legitimacy?

How does that fall under the umbrella of investigating the accusations of Russian election meddling?

Time to shut this rogue operation down.

Trying to get Whitaker to recuse himself and set us back to status quo ante.

i have a feeling that he’ll tell Mueller to p!$$ off and exercise some oversight on this farce.

So the Special Counsel is a clearinghouse to bring prosecution for any allegation brought by the same folks who rape hoaxed Kavanaugh? And in open defiance of its conflict of interest law as well as the limits of the scope of its mandate?

This law has to end and everyone in OSC put away for sedition.

The Hatch Act of 1939, officially An Act to Prevent Pernicious Political Activities, is a United States federal law whose main provision prohibits employees in the executive branch of the federal government, except the president, vice-president, and certain designated high-level officials, from engaging in some forms of political activity. It went into law on August 2, 1939. The law was named for Senator Carl Hatch of New Mexico. It was most recently amended in 2012.

On December 19, 2012, Congress passed the Hatch Act Mode rnization Act of 2012. The Act allows most state and local government employees to run for partisan poli tical office. Prior to this change, state and local government employees were prohibited from running for partisan office if they worked in connection with programs financed in whole or in part by federal loans or grants. With the change, the federal Hatch Act no longer prohibits state and local government employees from running for partisan office unless the employee’s salary is paid for completely by federal loans or grants.

Widespread allegations that local Democratic Party politicians used employees of the Works Progress Administration (WPA) during the congressional elections of 1938 provided the immediate impetus for the passage of the Hatch Act. Criticism centered on swing states such as Kentucky, Tennessee, Pennsylvania, and Maryland. In Pennsylvania, Republicans and dissident Democrats publicized evidence that Democratic politicians were consulted on the appointment of WPA administrators and case workers and that they used WPA jobs to gain unfair political advantage.[4] In 1938, a series of newspaper articles exposed WPA patronage, and political contributions in return for employment, prompting an investigation by the Senate Campaign Expenditures Committee, headed by Sen. Morris Sheppard, a Texas Democrat.

Despite that investigation's inconclusive findings, many in both parties determined to take action against the growing power of the WPA and its chief administrator, Harry Hopkins, an intimate of President Roosevelt. The Act was sponsored by Senator Carl Hatch, a Democrat from New Mexico. At the time, Roosevelt was struggling to purge the Democratic party of its more conservative members, who were increasingly aligned with the administration's Republican opponents. The president considered vetoing the legislation or allowing it to become law without his signature, but instead signed it on the last day he could do so. His signing message welcomed the legislation as if he had called for it, and emphasized the protection his administration would provide for political expression on the part of public employees.

I think they will find him innocent, as the scant contributions really do not rise to the level that the Act was passed to deal with.

The communists Democrats will destroy anything Trump tries to do and now with the House, Trump is finished. January will give one of a picture how the destruction will start. Trump just didn't get it months ago when he should have been on a hard attack and got as many indictments as he could. Convictions would have bolstered his base and we might not have lost the House.

An independent federal investigative agency is looking into...

There's no such thing as an "independent federal agency".

The word "independent" is just doublespeak for being out of control by the Chief Executive and in control by the Deep State.

And HOW exactly does a “special counsel” focused on a fake Russia investigation have the power to investigate an acting Attorney General’s 2014 activities??

If Whitaker has ordered the restoration of the original scope of Mueller’s team, Rosenstein and Mueller would just ignore it anyway.

... four individuals donated a total of $8,800 to the committee for Whitaker’s unsuccessful 2014 run ...

If this "committee" is a political action committee, or PAC, then it wasn't Whitaker but the PAC that was accepting the money. He wouldn't necessarily have approved or even known of the contribution.

The arrests need to happen already, we can see they keep trying different coup attempts and won’t stop.

This seems like a pre-emptive strike against Whitaker to inoculate Mueller.

The Democrats are using these charges to set up a claim of obstruction of justice in case Whitaker moves to end the Mueller investigation, since there is now an "ongoing investigation."
