So far, the reason I don’t understand how this is going down is that Meuller is keeping his cards close to the vest (not leaking anything) and Corsi says he is innocent of any wrongdoing.

Nothing I have seen so far seems to add up to Corsi going to prison for the rest of his life! He is an older guy with maybe some health issues we don’t know about, so he might be exaggerating a bit there as to how much of his useful life he has remaining...

I don't understand either. But I would not put it past Mueller to lock anyone up even if speculation to push his fabricated case. Earlier I listened to Dan Bongino speaking on his book and if half of what he said is correct then this is beyond scary. Doesn't have anything on Corsi but it's all inter related:

Watching OAN today, they interviewed Corsi. Said he turned down a Mueller plea deal.

He also indicated he might sue the Mueller inquisitors for “Gestapo tactics.”
