Perhaps they should be given the opportunity to choose civilization and all of its challenges and comforts rather than living in the stone age. Perhaps with all of our faults, we have enough of worth to offer them, they should be afforded the opportunity to choose the great things the world has to offer, music, literature, art, poetry, dance, astronomy, all the philosophies, all the theologies, great cuisines, sports, and so many many other things. Would any of us choose the short impoverished lives and the crippling superstitions that have prevented them from advancing beyond the stone age? If we wanted to do so, we could, but those of us who do choose such a life, if there are any, are few and far between. In any case, we do have antibiotics, anti/retrovirals, and vaccinations, so is it right to leave them there, isolated and deprived, when if they were given the choice, it is so very unlikely they would chose the lives we have decided for them they must live?

Apparently they had that opportunity and turned it down in no uncertain terms.

What do you want to do, go in there capture them all and force them to change their lifestyle?

What harm are they doing us that we shouldn’t leave them alone?

The nazis and the communists wanted to liberate us from what they thought was our miserable existence, we too turned down that opportunity in no uncertain terms.
