Thanks, I wasn't aware of this chapter. I would guess it happened in 2006 when I had my hands full of personal issues. That was when GWB was pushing so-called Comprehensive Immigration Reform. I remember in 2005 and the first half of 2006 that there was a huge clamor here that divided FR between Bush loyalists and those who figured this was just another amnesty scam. Limbaugh was full on board with G W Bush. Indeed he seemed to be acting in the manner the White House ought in defending the President and his policies. Was Limbaugh a neo-con or just an elephant loyalist. Much of what is now center stage in politics was shaping up then. It appears Limbaugh was just a regular Goper then and would carry water for anyone with R beside their name. His background is that of a business conservative not a God, Country and Guns Proud to be an American Conservative. If you can direct me to about when this happened I will try and find it on the web. It happened in school year 2016 -17 because I only lived where I remember this happened for that one year. It was a NYT article that came out on the weekend. We spoke about it here and waited for Monday morning for his show, and he responded right out of the gate.
The actual amnesty issue could have been earlier though, not sure which amnesty bill it was, but probably still Obama era. Rush was asked over steaks and cocktails with Schumer and ailes to stop using the world amnesty in relating to the bill, and to not mention it so much. And the NYT showed the stats of his mentions and verbiage as sharply changing to please “chuck u Schumer” right after that meeting.
So hypocritical and dishonest to us, his loyal listeners who supported him (literally) through thick and thin. For instance, I paid for his private site for YEARS without using it. Just to support him.
