President Trump on Thursday threatened to close off the southern border, telling reporters that he would "close entry into the country" if immigration gets "uncontrollable."
"If we find that it gets to a level where we’re going to lose control or people are going to start getting hurt, we will close entry into the country for a period of time until we can get it under control," he said.
Trump added that he meant the "whole border," though he appeared to be referring only to the southern border.
“We’re either going to have a border or we’re not," he said, adding that Mexico wouldn't "be able to sell their cars" into the U.S.
Trump also claimed that the U.S. closed the border earlier this week, though it was unclear what he was referring to.
Earlier this week traffic lanes near a key port of entry in San Diego were temporarily shut down.
“Two days ago, we closed the border. We actually just closed it," Trump said. "We said, ‘Nobody’s coming in.’ Because it’s out of control.”
Homeland Security Secretary Kirstjen Nielsen said Monday that the lanes were shut down because a large number of migrants were planning to "rush the border."

He should just do it until Mexico helps curb the flow of illegals.

The 2-hour closure was good, but to REALLY get their attention, we need to do 24 HOURS.
And then go from there.
and take control of the armed forces.
No need to close it. Simply order the Customs Department to hand search every single truck and rail car at the border.
Confiscate any vehicle carrying contraband of any kind and prosecute the driver.
The Mexicans will fold in 24 hours.

Trump's moves have far-reaching implications-----
ICE found some 125 countries gathered at the Mexican border and entered the US illegally.
The question needs to be answered-----how much is Mexico pocketing in fees to let these countries use their border to invade the US?
When DEA agent Kiki Camerena was abducted by Narcos, they inspected every other car, slowing the border to a crawl; crossing took over 11 HOURS:
Should a wholesale INVASION get less than that..?
It should require much, much more.
In fact a normal country would now be contemplating shutting the border completely, until the emergency was COMPLETELY over.
More like a duty. President Trump took some sort of an oath to that effect.

In my limited understanding, the court has no authority to block the president from performing his constitutional duty of protecting the border.
In other words, I believe that he can legally ignore them.
I believe it’s time to force the issue in that manner.

I recall in 2004, there was an independent movie called;
A Day Without A Mexican.
A lot of conservatives (like me) laughed about it. “Bring it on!”, I thought.
Maybe the president can produce the real event of;
A Day Without An Open Border!”
