If you read that post again slowly, you will see that my post is THE DIRECT OPPOSITE of an "anti-southern post".
I point out specifically that the sick song by Neil Young, "Southern Man" with the terrible lyrics":
"better keep your head....... Dont forget...... what your good book said ......Southern change gonna come at last...... Now your crosses..... are burning fast..... Southern man I saw cotton..... and I saw black..... Tall white mansions..... and little shacks....... Southern man...... when will you..... pay them back?.....
I follow that with what I believe was a great WINNING answer by Lynyrd Skynyrd - Sweet Home Alabama
"Big wheels keep on turning...... Carry me home to see my kin....... Singing songs about the south-land.... I miss ole bamy once again and I think its a sin..... Well I heard Mister Young sing about her....... Well I heard ole Neil put her down...... Well, I hope Neil Young will remember..... A southern man dont need him around anyhow....." ................ telling Neil Young to STFU.

I don't see how you missed that.
I love the southern people, and any other understanding of my feelings is very wrong.

I re-read your post - and your exchange with Wardaddy leading up to it.
I come out on Wardaddy’s side. The South takes way too much crap from certain FReepers, and just being on the right side of the the Skynyrd vs. Young lyrical debate doesn’t change the fact that you were mocking his defense of the South.
I’d rather stay out of such conversations, because the history of North vs South is way too complex, and way too tangled a web to resolve via text messages. But if you are going to draw me into it by including me - I’ll just say that my sympathy goes to Wardaddy in this case - anti Southern bias is very real and very prevalent - and it makes me sad.
