I hear ya'. God is not mocked, no doubt about it.

The thing is, do we work like it all depends on us to turn it around or just lay back and say, "Otto's got it" like it's all on autopilot and pray like it all depends on Christ?

Isn't relying on Christ to turn it all around while we keep our heads down burying what talents we have right along with firearms, ammo, and rations any different than the what Christ warned about in the parable of the servant who buried his single talent?

A large portion of the Bible concerns these days. It serves as both a spiritual and physical survival manual. Answers to your questions are inside its pages.

If these are those days; then, IMO, we here are living in a land called mystery Babylon, or daughter of Babylon, in prophecy.

Scripture warns and advises us of many things. Those living in mystery Babylon are warned to leave, to go back to their old countries, which tells me mystery Babylon is a new country, at least for many (i.e., America).

We are warned to live a righteous life, that we may prove worthy to earn a mark of protection. We are told when the time of judgement arrives, to go inside our dwellings, close the door and await its passing ("for a short time" means it's survival, at least for some, IMO) - hence the need to prep, to have all of your subsistence needs already met.

These are worldly; the need to get our spiritual house in order is paramount of course, as we're warned not to love our life here too much - tells me many will die.

Many convergences are taking place and I find it amazing so many are so close, yet remain incomplete. It must ALL gonna happen at once!

If we are indeed living in the "end times", then we are also being divided as prophesy warned us a day will come when, "His winnowing fork is in his hand, and he will clear his threshing floor and gather his wheat into the barn, but the chaff he will burn with unquenchable fire." - Matt. 3:12.

Many think of this as the "end of time", "end of days", and etc. It is for some, and it is for government by man, but it's the beginning of a new era/epoch. The coming tribulation and woe ushers in the Almighty's earthly Kingdom, a time of peace and reconciliation; a time of righteousness unlike any recorded; far greater even than anything our founders envisioned for America.

When I read about the descriptions of mystery Babylon in the Bible, one which really gets my attention is the one describing her as "a gold cup in the hand of the LORD", in Jeremiah. To me, when joined with other descriptions, it points to America at our founding. It probably also means Israel, at its founding as well, since prophecies have a way of coming in pairs (e.g., the two sticks, the two lamp stands, the two witnesses, Passover and Crucifixion, etc.).

Like America in the tribulation, I believe Israel will also suffer tremendously in tribulation. I ponder if both Israel and America may even be the two witnesses prophecy mentions which are killed, later to return to life. Certainly Israel may be, and even America may be, given it will no longer be America, per se (as mystery Babylon is destroyed forever more), but may be part of God's new Kingdom here on earth.

I realize much of what I'm saying, you and many here already know. I write for those reading who aren't in the know as well.

In conclusion, we're in this shape because we as individuals did not "do something" and because our churches did not "do something" when we could have made a bigger difference.

Now we're so divided, actually so inter-grown with weeds among the wheat, that our only real hope, IMO, is to physically separate, if not to war, then to simply not suffer as much in the coming wrath. If not possible, then shelter in place. It's written:

"Come out of her, my people, that ye be not partakers of her sins, and that ye receive not of her plagues. For her sins have reached unto heaven, and God hath remembered her iniquities." Rev. 18

Some may say this is a defeatist attitude. I say, "No", it is a realist's attitude. It's the true Words of God, as clear as I understand then, or know how to relay them.

Also, I'm a complete believer in 2 Chronicles 7:14. If we humbled ourselves and prayed and seek God's face, and turn from our wicked ways, I believe the Almighty WILL hear in heaven, forgive their sins, and heal our land.

And I believe He will update every scripture to reflect the changes, as I believe the scriptures are the living Words of the Almighty.

Have you ever noticed how when you reread a passage, its meaning seems to have changed, or you see something totally new you previously missed? Those are examples of what I mean. It is a sign of the Divine nature of scripture. In uninspired works, meanings never change.

Keep fighting the good fight. Know these things must pass. Comfort one another.
