Judicial review creates anything but 3 co-equal branches of government and I will give you a very simple proof.
The last presidential election one of Trumps most common campaign promises was his assurance that he would appoint conservative, original intent judges to the supreme court. Trump ran his campaign knowing the voters are very concerned with the actions of the USSC.
The supreme court has become the most powerful branch of government.
Through their choice of court cases to hear the USSC directs the evolution of our society.
If there are three co-equal branches of government how is it that one branch overrules two branches and a majority of the states?
A district judge in San Francisco just ruled that the President of the United States can not protect the borders of the United States. How is that possible with three co-equal branches of government?
I did not say I believed that....I said many people do (perhaps a significant majority of Americans do).
That perception will be a daunting task to overcome indeed.
It will take educating the public.
Unfortunately the education establishment is against us.
I think Newt Gingrich gave us an example of how to educate the public when he gave his one minute and special order speeches that were televised on CSPAN in the 80s and 90s.
In those early years CSAP permitted conservatives to bypass the conventional media and reach the political public in a new way without the filter of the Leftist Media Complex.
We need to find a way to reach the young through the new media of the internet in a way that will inspire the young to learn and get involved.
Should Rosa Parks have shuffled off to the back of the bus because it was "the rule of law"?
Secondly, part of the “consequences” of disobeying certain laws is a forfeiture of ones job, most decidedly in his case where his job entails the enforcing said law.
To my knowledge that has thus far not happened.
I ‘ve been watching British TV detective shows. The favored murder weapon is a double barrel shotgun
