Not starving if they won’t eat beans. Beans are not pig food, I was raised on beans at every meal except holidays. No matter what else, my mom always had a pot of beans. Love them to this day.

The real point is we are told how these people are in such poverty, just made this long journey and they don’t sound hungry to me in the least. They are not that poverty stricken or they would eat what they can get.

A lady from Tijuana that was interviewed said the first night they arrived she and some other ladies cooked a lot of food to take to the shelter and feed them. She said she took beans and tortillas and they threw them in her face. I was stunned when I heard that. These are not hungry people, and horrible way to treat someone trying to help you.

No wonder the people in Tijuana are tired of them. People are kind enough to provide them food and it’s not good enough.

Ingratitude doesn’t go over well in any language or culture.
