It's very dry here too, but we never make the news. That's because we do preventive management of our 20 million acres of forest. Over half of Michigan is forest. When is the last time you saw a wildfire here go massively out of control?

wildifres in 2018

In Michigan, firefighters respond to 10,000 to 12,000 wildfires each year....Most wildfires occur in the spring here in Michigan when days are dry and windy with abundant dead vegetation left after the snow melts. These conditions can spread a wildfire quickly because there is less moisture in the air and the wind carries burning debris to other areas. The dead vegetation makes for good wildfire fuel.

prescribed burns are good for forests, but the cali idiot greenies are too stupid to get it

this is my little town

You would make news if Michigan was located in a Coastal Desert as is California.
Good on you and Michigan for understanding that preventive management is the answer.

Indeed, the Californians are too stupid.
