This is exactly what we do when our pastures get overgrown, they can clear out low growth in short order. Leave them in too long and they’ll take it to bare ground. Many of the local ranchers have been bringing in exotic strains (They grow large horns) and get a double bonus from their presence. Hunters will pay good money for rams and billy’s with a good set of horns. They’ll open the country up and this allows for more grass and forbs for the grazing animals such as cows.
