I was fortunate to have visited Chitzen Itza years ago when you could still go inside and climb narrow steep stairs to the top and walk back down on the outside. Saw the jaguar. The ball court and wall of skulls was also interesting. Then there is also the movie Apocalypto.. Amazing the astronomical details of the structure built centuries ago.I dd not get to see the equinox which is awesome.
